Players and Parents -
This is an exciting time for our High School aged soccer players. Let me be the first to tell you that it is never too early or too late to start planning to play college soccer. We have a program within the club called the College Advisory Program (CAP). This program is in place to assist our High School aged players in the recruiting and selection process for potential individuals that choose and want to play college soccer. This program is free to all our players who play for the Scottsdale Blackhawks.
The intentions for this program are to be as paperless as possible. Most, if not all of the information will be sent by email or posted on our website. Seminars and college coaches attendance onto our practice fields will also be an integral part of this program.
Click the tab at the left that coinsides with your High School class for a timeline outlining steps to help you get started. One of the most important areas that we cannot stress enough, is that the majority of the work needs to be done by the you, the PLAYER. We will provide you with information and advice but we cannot choose your school for you. We can contact coaches for you, but they want and would much rather hear from you, the PLAYER. It will be up to you, on keeping records to which schools you have contacted, which ones have contacted you, and which ones you have not contacted.
Our main assistance will be preparing you on the field through weekly training and putting you in the best environment possible where you can be seen. We will also help with recommendations to coaches and following up with schools that you are interested in, off of your requests.
Again, this is a very exciting time and we are all looking forward to working with you during your individual college recruitment process in our program.
Regards,
Adam Burke - Director of Coaching Academy Division
