The Scottsdale Soccer Spring Recreational Season will be played on Saturdays from February 25th through May 5th, 2012. There will be no games played on Saturday, March 10th, 2012, (The second Saturday of the SUSD Spring Break) and on Saturday, April 7th, 2012, (SUSD three day weekend). Game locations are Thunderbird Park for 4 - 5 year olds and Mountain View Park / Cochise Elementary School for 6 - 9 year olds. The Spring Recreational Season is for players ages 4 through 9 year olds. Age is determined as of July 31st, 2011. If you have a player who turned 4 years old prior to December 31st, 2011, and you are willing to coach a team, please register and indicate that you will be a volunteer coach. Our season of Spring Soccer will be played on Saturdays beginning February 25th, 2012, and ending May 5th, 2012.
The Scottsdale Soccer Spring Recreational Season is similar to our Fall Recreational Season with a few exceptions:
1. Players must be 4 to 9 years old as of July 31st, 2011.
2. Game fields will be located at Thunderbird Park for 4 - 5 year olds and Mountain View Park / Cochise Elementary School for 6 - 9 year olds.
3. Uniforms will be two (2) colors - one for the home team and one for the visiting team.
4. Players will receive participation medals instead of trophies.
5. There will be less reservable practice space because of other sports having priority using the City of Scottsdale fields.
6. Hot weather at the end of the season instead of the beginning of the season.
The nine game Spring Season is affordable!
Player registration is $70.00 for 4 - 5 year olds and $85.00 for 6 - 9 year olds if registration is completed by Jan 20th, 2012. The ’Wait List Period’ begins on January 21st and ends on February 29th, 2012. ’Wait List’ registration is $100.00 for 4 - 5 year olds and $115.00 for 6 - 9 year olds. Prices include: registration, uniform (two shirts, shorts, socks), a participation medal and a lot of fun! Each player must have their own shin guards and a ball for practice. Soccer shoes are recommended for added traction on field surfaces but not required. Please register early as the Spring Season fills quickly!
