Coaching Education Classes and Certifications

http://www.azyouthsoccer.org/coaching/coursedescriptions.aspx

A huge reason for the success of Scottsdale Soccer's Recreational Program is the volunteers who make everything possible.  We are always looking for new volunteer coaches to help ensure every child has a team to play on and an enthusiastic coach to play for.  Contrary to popular belief you don't necessarily need a strong soccer background in order to coach.  It is obviously helpful but we can help teach you the basics of soccer coaching to ensure both you and the kids have an enjoyable and rewarding experience.  All you really need is a positive and enthusiastic personality!

Each year we offer various US Soccer Federation sanctioned coach education classes in order to help any Recreational coaches, assistant coaches or even parents who are simply interested in finding out more about the best practices when it comes to teaching kids soccer.

All certifications, classes and clinics we recommend for Recreational Coaches will be listed here.

US Soccer ‘F’ License – online certification

The “F” license is a 2-hour course, conducted entirely online, intended for all coaches of youth players. The focus of this grassroots course is to share U.S. Soccer’s best practices in creating a fun, activity-centered and age-appropriate environment for 5-8 year old players.  We strongly encourage all Recreational coaches complete this certification.

For more information and to take this certification please see here: http://www.ussoccer.com/coaching-education/licenses/national-f

US Soccer Youth Modules

The mission State Youth Modules is to provide the most current and advanced information on growth and development of the youth soccer player. The youth soccer player is defined as any child from pre-school through adolescence. The course takes the approach that the GAME WITHIN EACH CHILD is at the center of all belief, decisions, and actions taken by the child, coach, and organization. It is the ultimate goal of youth soccer development within the United States to unlock the game within the child to reach their full soccer potential.

The Youth Module I & II classes are split between the classroom and the field.  More information can also be found here: http://www.azyouthsoccer.org/odp/course_descriptions/
